Origin Story
DW Fastener was established in 1954 by Dorothy and Wilfred Stadter, a husband-and-wife team who initially operated out of the trunk of their car. Using the time-proven formula of providing quality fasteners with responsive service to meet the customer’s needs, the company has grown and moved to larger facilities.
In 1984, the company moved to its present location, which has expanded. During that time, new product lines have been added, including abrasives, cutting tools, and more!
Continued Growth & Success
Brandon Moore purchased DW Fastener in 2016. The company was operating 90% on paper, including payroll!!! With no prior experience in the fastener industry, it took a year to learn the business, another couple of years to implement technology to improve business processes, and IMPROVE they did!
DW Fastener decreased inventory costs and lead times, increased gross and net profit margins, and enhanced the customer, vendor, and employee experience every day! What a win/win/win! Brandon knew they needed to modernize to be more successful.

A Bright Future
DW Fastener is currently engaged in plans to expand again with additional square footage at its current warehouse location in Barberton, OH. The extra warehouse space will allow DW Fastener to stock more products for immediate shipment to our nationwide customers. Their website dwfastener.com is fully integrated with our warehouse management system, “The Business EdgeTM, allowing our customers to see exactly how much stock we have on hand and how quickly they can receive it. They serve all industries and leverage our 200+ vendor network to source the best quality product at the best price. We currently stock 30,000+ SKUs, with plans to expand to 50,000+. In addition, they have one day’s access to hundreds of thousands of additional SKUs. They can probably get what you need within a day if they don’t already have it in stock.
DW Fastener is still a family-owned and run business led by Brandon Moore as President, Zach Moore as Supply Chain Manager, and Adylin Moore as Assistant Branch Manager.
